Harry Kane INJURED: Fabian Delph horror collision leaves Tottenham fans scared for star
The England striker was on the receiving end of Delph’s studs after his initial challenge.
Kane immediately limped off down the tunnel with suspected ankle ligament damage.
The forward suffered the same injury earlier this season which kept him out of action for a significant period of time.
And there are now fears Kane’s season is over.
BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton believes Kane has suffered ankle ligament damage again.
He said: “That is a massive blow for Spurs – to lose their king, their main man.
“It’s the way he lands on his left foot.
“He makes the challenge and then his ankle rocks, which would suggest ligament damage.”
Tottenham fans were raging at the incident and believe Kane could now be out for the season.
One said: “Tottenhams season over Harry Kane injured again.”
Another added: “@HKane needs to forget about the rest of the season including the nations league and rest that ankle fully before he ends his career to short.”
A third explained: “Harry Kane is always rushing his recovery. It’s catching up to him now.”
Tottenham now face a wait to see the extent of the damage to Kane’s ankle.
It could prove crucial for their hopes of progressing in the Champions League and finishing in the top four in the Premier League.
They didn’t feel the immediate impact though as Heung-min Son netted to put Spurs 1-0 at their new stadium.
