Masters 2019 LIVE: Final round updates as Tiger Woods and Francesco Molinari battle to win

1

1.15pm: There’s not much interest around the first few threeballs, but we have just seen the first birdie of the final day from Patton Kizzire (-4).

After posting two 70s, he stumbled along the course yesterday with a round of 73 which put him out of contention. The Alabama native made a neat approach here on Tea Olive, before holing from ten feet.

Another early pacesetter, Bryson DeChambeau, has shown early on why he’s no longer in the running. A double bogey at 10 reflects the lack of conviction in his putting, and that is visible once again at 11, which he double bogeys.

1pm: What’s the latest weather forecast? Cloudy, with a chance of golf balls. And thunderstorms. Earlier than expected. Damn.

We’re not going to have an iconic Sunday sunset finish this year, unfortunately.

Until 2pm, the weather will be a bit like Patrick Reed in a Ryder Cup team – muggy. Twenty-two degrees and cloudy, with light wind.

Just to refresh your memory…

12.30pm: Aaron Wise, Marc Leishman, Si Woo Kim get us underway on the 1st, while Kyle Stanley, Viktor Hovand and Charley Hoffman get into the swing of things on hole 10.

12.25pm: Brace yourselves for an action-packed afternoon, with players going out in threeballs and off split tees from 12.30pm UK time.

Thunderstorms are expected around 4pm ET (9pm BST) over Augusta, hence the drastic change in schedule.

Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley said: “The safety of everyone on our grounds is paramount.

“We also believe the earlier start will give us the best opportunity to complete the Masters on Sunday.”

We ruddy hope so.

12.15pm: Due to storms being forecast play will get underway earlier at Augusta today.

The first group of players will get underway from 12.30pm BST in just 15 minutes time.

The leading players including Woods tee off at 2.20pm.

You won’t miss any of the action with us throughout the afternoon.

12pm: Welcome to coverage of the final day of The Masters 2019 and what a day at Augusta it could be.

Tiger Woods is in contention and will look to win his fifth Green Jacket.

The legendary golfer hasn’t won a major since way back in 2008 but he has been in great form and goes into the final round -10.

Francesco Molinari leads the way on -13.
