Melania Trump stuns in selfie amid Venezuela meeting – sold-out dress is worth thousands
With 2.8 million Instagram followers, Melania Trump, the First Lady of the United States often keeps her fans updated on what she’s been doing via the social media platform. Today was no different, as the 48-year-old took to her official account to post a series of snaps – following a meeting with Fabiana Rosales. The Venezuelan journalist, 26, is the wife Juan Guaidó, 35, who is partially recognised as the acting president of Venezuela. It seems that Melania was overjoyed to have spent time with Fabiana, calling their meeting “inspiring”.
She captioned the post: “An inspiring meeting with @FabiiRosales as she shared her passionate ideas and plans to restore democracy and to care for the children of Venezuela.
“We stand with you & Pres @Jguaido.”
Meanwhile, Fabiana also took to Instagram, writing a lengthy post in view of her 650,000 followers.
The message translated as: “Today I had the opportunity to share with the first lady of the United States, Melania Trump, @flotus. It was a very warm and truly inspiring encounter.
“We talked about the challenges that, with @jguaido at the head, we face to recover democracy in Venezuela and we exchange ideas to implement plans for the benefit of our children, the most vulnerable victims of a perverse system that has brought fatal consequences for the following generations.
“On behalf of the people of Venezuela and mine, I would like to express my gratitude to Mrs. Trump for her commitment to the people of Venezuela. I’m sure, Melania, that our next meeting will be in Caracas, in freedom.”
In the series of photos, the former fashion model sported a striped utility dress by Derek Lam.
It had a knee-length cut, and featured buttons down the centre of the shirt collar dress.
The item, made in Italy, also had a wide tonal fabric belt.
At the time of writing, the dress was sold out on the designer’s website.
However, similar dresses sold by Derek Lam cost more than £1,000 – so it’s likely that this is also worth thousands.
In one snap, Fabiana could be seen holding a phone at arms length in order to take a selfie of the duo.
Both well-known figures could be seen beaming at the camera for the snap.
Upon seeing the capture, fans rushed to the comment section.
“So much class absolutely beautiful,” swooned one person.
Another penned: “The most stunningly beautiful First Lady ever!”
A third person wrote: “Melanie is a classy First Lady.”(sic)
Last week, Melania was pictured with her husband Donald Trump at their Mar-A-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, where they welcomed Caribbean leaders on a working visit.
She stood out amongst the six political figures, who were all men and dressed in blue suits, wearing a vibrant LK Bennett Andrea dress and orange Manolo Blahnik high heels.
