Terminator Dark Fate: NEW LOOK at Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton in Terminator 6
The sixth instalment in the Terminator franchise will be in cinemas soon. Arnold Schwarzenegger is, indeed, back as the T-800 Model 101 and Linda Hamilton has reprised her role as Sarah Connor. Finally, fans are treated to the first look at both stars in their roles.
When is new Terminator 6 out with Linda Hamilton RETURNING?
Linda Hamilton will return as Sarah Connor for the unnamed Terminator movie, out on October 23, 2019.
It turns out Schwarzenegger’s reprisal as the movie’s namesake wasn’t the most exciting piece of news about the new Terminator movie after all.
Hamilton became iconic for her performance in the original Terminator movie (1984) as Sarah Connor, and again in the 1991 sequel Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
James Cameron wrote and directed the first and second movies and has returned to produce the new addition to the Terminator franchise.
He also has a story by credit for Terminator 6.
According to Digital Spy, Cameron said of Linda Hamilton: “As meaningful as she was to gender and action stars everywhere back then, it’s going to make a huge statement to have that seasoned warrior that she’s become return.” Cameron reportedly said at a private event.
“There are 50-year-old, 60-year-old guys out there killing bad guys, but there isn’t an example of that for women”.
Tim Miller of Deadpool fame is set to direct the new Terminator instalment, and also joining the cast will be Colombian actress Natalia Reyes who plays Dani Ramos.
Diego Boneta (from the hit American TV shows Pretty Little Liars and Scream Queens) joined the cast as Dani’s brother (still unnamed).
The young star and female lead of Terminator 6 is set to be Mackenzie Davis as Grace.
Gabriel Luna as a Terminator (not to be confused with Schwarzenegger’s Terminator/T-800.)
Whatever this new Terminator movie is called, the plot will follow in the direct aftermath of Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
Fans who were not a fan of Terminators 3, 4, and 5 (which seems to be almost everybody) can breathe easy, as Cameron himself told Hollywood Reporter: “[W]e’re pretending the other films were a bad dream.
“Or an alternate timeline, which is permissible in our multi-verse,” he added.
Cameron has hinted that Terminator 6 is meant to be the start of a new Terminator trilogy if all goes well for the new instalment.
Terminator Dark Fate will be out in cinemas on October 23, 2019.
